Introduction

Hi my name is Sheeba Ajmal. I have been in the education field for good 14 - 15 years now. I have done MBA with majors in IT , followed by a two year MS (IT) from Peshawar University. I joined Beaconhouse which is one of the most prestigious institutions in the country as a Teacher in Sep 2004 and resigned in Sep 2016. During these years I have had the opportunity to work in different capacities including teacher for OLevel (Computer Studies), Alevel (Applied ICT), and an ICT teacher for grades 5 to 8. I was selected as the ETAC Ambassador for my branch and I was trained through various professional development courses to train teacher to develop effective and meaningful lesson plans , integrate technology in their lesson meaningfully. I was promoted as the Regional Assistant Manager for Education Technologies in March 2013, my core responsibilities included training teachers to design and implement lessons using education technology. I am a certified trainer to teach with digital technologies from Cambridge International Examination, I have completed DTWICT (Diploma in Teaching with ICT from Cambridge International Examination), CPEd (Certificate in Professional Education from Marjon university UK), DTDT (Diploma in Teaching with Digital Technologies from Cambridge International Examination). In this role I had the honour and privillege to work with teachers as well as school heads. I was part of the team working which initiated an early years initiative titled ELE Enhanced Learning Environment in the early year branches of Beaconhouse in the Northern Region. For the past two years I have been working on my own project titled, Technology For A Cause - Enhancing Skills Empowering Kids, details in link below: the project aimed at providing quality education experiences to the underprivileged kids in the society. I was working voluntarily with two schools namely Ranaa Child Welfare Foundation (which is a street school in Peshawar) and SOS Childrens Village Peshawar (which is an orphanage). Kids were enrolled in a Google Classroom and used to do different reading, writing and numeracy activities using the Google classroom. Kids as part of the project have also participated in various international projects , these include the OneWorld Classrooms Art project with students in USA, various projects with iEARN (International Education and Resource Network(, these include the Dont Waste - Recycle, International Book Club, Flying Kites and so on. The project took a break due to my enrollment in the MPHIL ELM program at LUMS.

Apart from this I have been an active HundrED Ambasador, HundrED is a Finland based organization, its a great opportunity to work and  collaborate with educators around the globe. Students got the opportunity to work on different projects with HundrED. Details in link below:

4. Be Mindful
Since  I am a trainer by profession, I was working on developing an online course about being mindful using Google Sites. The course is developed, will be launched soon InShaaAllah.

I love drawing and coloring, I make patterns and find the exercise soothing and calming like anything.

I had initiated a project with the kids at both schools about recycle and reuse. This inspired me and I have created various holders using things we throw away at times. I have  recycled shoe boxes, newspapers, water bottles etc and through painting they have been turned into some amazing things. Details in link below:
